Geography [ edit ] Mount Bromo is situated in East Java, a province of Indonesia. It is one of the protected area inside Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park which is habitat for various iron sulfate species of flora and fauna. The volcano itself is in fact part of a greater caldera, or a giant hole in the ground that was wreaked by a volcanic eruption thousands of years ago
The summit of Mount Bromo always presents a mysterious and magical appearance with a thick fog of white smoke. As the sun rises in the morning the smoke takes on a golden hue that lights up the sky. This is also why so many visitors to Mount Bromo do so to see the sunrise – it truly is a magnificent spectacle that you will remember for the rest of your life.
If you want to watch the sun rise at Mt Bromo, you will need to rise at an unearthly hour. The ideal time to go is around 4, I think, so you can actually get to the iron 325 mg viewing point before the sun starts appearing. As the sky lightens, you will see the first beam of sunlight appearing above the horizon, and then working its way all the way over the top of the range
Watching the sun rise at Mount Bromo is like watching a painting animate. The visualization changes from deep blues and purples to toast reds and pinks, and it's a stunning display that is guaranteed to make you - well, picture it. You can take pictures/smell the flowers, but either way, it is an experience that you will never forget!
On day 2, once the sun rises, you can walk around the beautiful, other-wordly landscape of Mount Bromo. Unique topography The landscape surrounding the volcano is very interesting, consisting of black sand outwash plains, cliffs, and rugged mountain peaks along with other butanimide landforms. You can sign up for a jeep tour of the area, or hike up to the mountain’s crater if you prefer to take a closer look.
From Mount Bromo you can also see the other volcanic peaks in the National Park and the sea of sand reaching out in all directions. It’s a very surreal and beautiful scene that would make feel like you are in another world. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes and to bring lots of water, as the hike can be very difficult.

The National Park offers a variety of birds, mammals, reptiles, native plants and flowers. The flora and fauna that make it all happen are things you can explore with guided tours or just by wandering and seeing what you can spot.
